•      The history club at Pisgah High School is unlike any other club at PHS. The motto behind the history club is an aphorism featured in the movie Dead Poets Society, "Carpe diem" or "sieze the day." At the beginning of the second year of the history club, the club council decided to make watching Dead Poets Society at the first meeting of the year a tradition. The club is full of devoted students from grades ten through twelve who enjoy getting together and spending time with one another over dinner and some kind of history related activity sometimes including movies. The movies watched are not only about history, but they do always bring out some kind of emotion from viewing club members. That is what the Pisgah High School History Club is about, bringing out that passion that makes each of us want to get out of bed and make a difference. It makes us want to... sieze the day.
