NACC offers a state-of-the-art welding shop with modern welding booths for 18 students, a separate cutting room, piped-in welding gases, and enough welding machines to accommodate any common welding process. Students also have access to a virtual reality welding machine, which is used to evaluate and improve technique, and orbital welding equipment used to join pipe and tube in the energy, chemical, and pharmacology industries. Instructors are industry-certified and skilled in their craft. Students may obtain certifications through the American Welding Society (AWS) in a number of processes and positions.

Welders are in high demand-especially in Alabama-and that demand is expected to grow as the industry grows and expands. To accommodate the high demand for welders, Northeast provides welding classes on campus and in Hollywood at the Earnest Pruett Center of Technology.
