Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor's in Collaborative Education
Hello! My name is Kyle Nix, and I teach 5th Grade Math and 5th-8th Special Education at Bridgeport Middle. I also coach 7th and 8th Grade boys and girls basketball for the school. I grew up in Section, Alabama and graduated from Section High School in 2008. I attended Northeast Alabama Community College, The University of Alabama, and Athens State University before graduating from there with my bachelor's degree in Collaborative Education. Before working at BMS, I served as a Special Education teacher at Collins Elementary in Scottsboro and I also taught PE at Bridgeport Elementary for a short time. This is my fifth year teaching, and I am currently attending Auburn University to get my Master's in Educational Leadership. I live in Trenton, Georgia with my wife, Jordan, daughter, Hensley, and our two dogs, Woody and Hargrove. When I'm not working or spending time with my family, I like to be outdoors either golfing or kayaking and fishing. I also like to go to the movies, go out to eat at new places, play video games, and watch whatever new TV shows are out.
